Fayette County, Pennsylvania, is home to several organizations dedicated to supporting the Black community through civil rights advocacy, cultural preservation, education, and community development. Notable among these are the East End United Community Center, offering educational and cultural programs ; and One Voice One Community, collaborating on events like the Juneteenth Unity Fest to celebrate Black heritage and promote unity.
Additionally, the Community Foundation of Fayette County provides grants and support to nonprofits serving the Black community , and the Fayette County Community Action Agency works to strengthen individuals and families towards self-sufficiency.

The Community Foundation of Fayette County (CFFC) is a nonprofit organization that aims to build a stronger Fayette County by inspiring charitable giving, supporting nonprofits, and nurturing positive community impact. It helps define charitable needs, connects donors with causes that matter to them, supports nonprofit organizations, and invests charitable assets to improve the community.​ The CFFC hosts events such as the annual Gala of Giving, The foundation also publishes an annual Community Impact Report, highlighting its efforts in building a stronger Fayette County.




At East End United Community Center, our story is one of unity woven by the threads of community. We started as a small group of individuals brought together by shared interests and a common goal: to create a space where everyone is valued and embraced. Today, we stand as a vibrant center that celebrates diversity and inclusivity. Our journey is a testament to the power of connections, and we invite you to be a part of our journey.

We’re a tight-knit group committed to breaking the cycle of poverty, violence, and dependency in Fayette County. Our mission is clear: by reshaping mindsets and habits, especially among young people, we aim to replace despair with hope and destitution with opportunity. We’re in it for the long haul, providing support from early childhood through high school and beyond, with mentorship and guidance available around the clock, nearly every day of the year.

Fayette County Community Action Agency is a non-profit organization that has been serving Fayette County residents since 1966. FCCAA assists over 30,000 residents annually through a full range of programs and services that meet the needs of the community. FCCAA services include housing and development, energy assistance, emergency assistance, employment and training, empowerment and leadership development, casework and service coordination, family supports, food and nutrition, personal care, recreation, health, and community development services.
