Black Owned Businesses
Fayette County, Pennsylvania, actively celebrates and supports Black- owned businesses through various community initiatives and events. For instance, during Black History Month, local efforts have been made to highlight Black-owned businesses in Uniontown, fostering community engagement and recognition. These events and initiatives underscore Fayette County's commitment to honoring and uplifting its Black-owned businesses and the broader African American community. ​​
Community Development Block Grant
The City of Uniontown supports Minority and Women Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) through its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, funded by Pennsylvania’s Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), and upholds the federal Fair Housing Act by promoting equal opportunity and fair housing choice for all.
